Representative members
One class comprises representative members. They are Jisc’s original members and guarantors - the Association of Colleges (AoC), GuildHE and Universities UK (UUK). Each of these representative members holds 30% of the voting rights.
Institutional members
The other class of membership comprises institutional members, which is open to all eligible higher and further education institution across the UK. This class collectively hold 10% of the voting rights.
- Universities UK has 30% voting rights
- Guild HE representative members of Jisc has 30% voting rights

Our representative members each nominate one person to the board and act collectively to appoint the chair.
Each representative member also sits on the funders and owners group which provides advice to our trustees and leadership team.
