About

The Association of Colleges (AoC) is the primary representative body for further education, sixth form, tertiary, and specialist colleges in England, founded in 1996 by colleges themselves. The AoC Annual Conference and exhibition, held in Birmingham is the must-attend further education event of the year. It offers educators a unique opportunity to learn, be challenged by inspiring keynotes and breakout sessions, and collaborate with peers to enhance their practices and drive change within their organisations. The programme boasts influential speakers from government, business, education, and various other sectors.

We are delighted to share that we will again this year be supporting the conference as Digital Partner and Beacon Awards sponsor.

Join us at Jisc’s stand, where attendees can immerse themselves in our live conference podcast. We’ll delve into future thinking and current debates around generative AI, addressing critical topics such as inequality, the future of assessment, the evolving skills landscape and the changing roles of professionals. We’ll also be discussing the upcoming security centre for the sector.

The Jisc team will be on hand to discuss your most pressing challenges and explore how digital, data and technology can support your institution. Whether you want to maximise your Jisc membership or seek solutions to enhance your college’s digital strategy, we’re here to help.

AI: five actions for college leaders

In this session, we will explore five actions that leaders can take to ensure they maximise the benefit of AI at their college. Based on Jisc’s AI in education maturity model, this session will guide you through the transition from initial AI adoption to full-scale implementation and beyond. Following the five actions will set you on a course to embed AI so that it enhances teaching, streamlines administration, and ultimately improves learner outcomes. The session will provide practical strategies, case studies, and ethical considerations, equipping you with the tools to effectively harness AI.
