Extending eduroam enables a fast, agile and secure way to allow authenticated eduroam users to connect and access learning resources in remote locations such as at home, out in the field, or out and about in sports facilities, hospitals or libraries.

It is a Jisc-managed cloud service,, supported by world-leading technology partners Cradlepoint (part of Ericsson) and Sky Business, which extends our trusted eduroam service through 4G and 5G cellular technology using mobile data backhaul.

During this one-hour webinar, you will hear what’s been happening in our work on extending eduroam from pilot and to launch. We’ll talk you through how these cost-effective devices can transform your teaching and learning experience by delivering easy, seamless wifi connectivity beyond the campus with our trusted eduroam service.

As extending eduroam devices act as a visited eduoram service you will also hear from our eduroam service team, who will give their expert advice on how to make sure your users don’t hit authentication barriers when wanting to roam with eduroam.
