Role

My primary aim is to engage with learning providers at the strategic level to enhance understanding and wholesale adoption of technology to support business efficiencies.

This is achieved by highlighting sector leading practice in terms of organisational approaches to successfully embedding and normalising technology to enhance and deliver the curriculum, and though engaging closely with colleagues across Jisc.

The service, in the form of solutions to business needs, is delivered through information briefings, webinars, training, contributing to forums and special interest groups, and through other on-site activities.

Background

I have managerial, educational and commercial experience gained through cross-functional responsibilities in learning technology consultation and management roles at Jisc, Edge Hill University and The Manchester College. This was preceded by eight years as an engineering open learning divisional manager and practitioner, and a further eight years postgraduate industrial experience as a senior quality engineer and an electronic engineer with Philips.
