About
Pedagogical AI assistants could empower learners with responsive, on-demand support, while enabling educators to focus the support they give. In this session, we'll showcase multiple products and use cases in this space, and give audience members a chance to ask any questions they have.
Presenters will include:
- Yvonne Soh and Dr. Jim Wagstaff, Co-founders of Noodle Factory. They’ll be speaking about Walter, Noodle Factory’s AI-powered teaching assistant platform, which leverages generative AI to empower educators to effortlessly create customised AI tutors, enabling personalised learning at scale. Established in 2018, Walter has continually evolved through evidence-based research.
- Professor David Lefevre (co-founder and academic lead at Tutello) and Rosie Loyd (Founders Associate at Tutello). Tutello combines human and AI support for tutoring by using an educator-curated knowledge base to answer student questions, directing them to tutors when needed. The platform also features an analytics dashboard to provide actionable insights for faculty who can track gaps in both student knowledge bases and content bases.
- Dev Aditya (Co-founder and CEO, Otermans Institute) and Dr Pauldy Otermans (Co-founder and COO, Otermans Institute). Otermans Institute has developed OIAI, an AI platform that provides AI teachers who engage in two-way, conversational learning with students. These AI teachers are built on the company's proprietary LLM OIMISA-7B and can teach most subjects. OIAI also includes an enterprise dashboard, designed to give educators highly granular, real-time insights into their learners' progress.
- Dragos Popa from Plato, an AI-powered study assistant that sits within institutions’ virtual learning environment. Plato aims to give students instant academic support, reduce staff workload, and provide staff with valuable insights into students' grasp of module content via a dedicated dashboard.
