Rachael Littlejohns

Procurement adviser

Role

As a procurement adviser it is my role, and that of the team, to offer advice, guidance and support to Jisc staff who are working on procurements.

I am also an advocate of helping non-procurement colleagues understand our world, and offer support and training to ensure that the internal procurement procedures are understood and Jisc conducts it's procurements compliantly.

Feel free to come and ask me more about my role and how I can help you.

Background

My background is in public sector procurement having worked for my local police force, the procurement arm for NHS Wales and also the Welsh assembly government, and I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS).

My procurement experience ranges from medical consumables to kit for motorcycle police officers, I like to get to grips with what I am supporting my colleagues in procuring - that way I can make sure that not only are we running the right procurement process but also end up with something meaningful that offers good value for money.

Outside of work, my passion is my 1969 Beetle 'Maybug' - anyone who passes my screen will see the latest pictures of her when we've been to various VW and classic car shows.
