Web writing: back to basics

Role

I'm a content editor in the digital team, working alongside Vix Reeve.

My role is to ensure that the content on jisc.ac.uk is user-focused, clear, engaging and on-brand.

I also deliver training in web writing and web publishing.

Background

I've worked in education and communications for most of my career. I started out at the universities of Sussex and Brighton, then joined the UWE Bristol marketing team where I worked for four years in events and web. I also spent some time as a web editor at the University of Bath before eventually joining Jisc in 2012.

In my spare time I love creating Spotify playlists, cooking delicious food, discovering new internet cats and travelling to far-flung places (when I get the chance!)

My surname changed from Southall in April 2015.
