As Jisc procurement adviser I have responsibility to offer advice, guidance and support to Jisc staff who are working on procurements.

My role also encompasses supporting and training Jisc staff to ensure that the internal procurement procedure for purchase of goods and services are understood and complied with.

In addition, I take the lead on EU, public sector framework and mini-competition procurements undertaken by Jisc to ensure that value for money is achieved and a robust audit trail is available for each individual procurement.

Background

I have ten years’ experience of working in procurement for Bristol City Council and I achieved my MCIPS qualification in 2011. I have been involved in a wide range market areas including IT, facilities, construction and health and social care.

This experience includes producing procurement strategies, running a wide range of tender exercises and leading on supplier negotiations to support stakeholders to meet their requirements.
