James Williams

Head of corporate communications

The main part of my job is to make sure that information and corporate communications are delivered to Jisc group staff in the most effective way.

Before joining Jisc I worked at the Office for National Statistics, where I managed and developed internal communications channels and campaigns. Before that, I worked at the National Crime Agency and Sussex Police, coordinating communications around major change programmes.

In 2011 I studied for a Chartered Institute of Marketing qualification and I've recently finished a Chartered Institute of Public Relations course.

I already love Bristol, even though I haven't been here long, and I spend most of my spare time exploring the city.
