George Munroe

Subject specialist (systems, tools and information management)

Role

As a subject specialist in the systems, tools and information management space, I provide advice and support on a wide range of established and emerging enabling technologies for practitioners in the skills, teaching and research sectors.

Background

I have extensive experience in research applications support, computer based learning, and campus web development and coordination from 17 years at Queen's University Belfast.

I founded one of the first private internet service providers in 1994 and have provided technical guidance for several web related companies in Northern Ireland since then.

I have provided internet related training for the Internet Society and Jisc Netskills in the past and relish the challenge of championing appropriate technology to our members.
