I support the director in ensuring Jisc Collections provides a continuing fit for purpose, licensing and negotiation service for its consortium of library customers, offering value, cost saving and efficiency.
I contribute to the strategic direction of Jisc Collections, with a focus on journals and operational planning. I also have responsibility for licensing business development.
I have been in the serials information industry since 1988, working previously for subscription agents: SwetsBlackwell, Swets, and Faxon.
I joined Jisc Collections in 2010 from Content Complete Ltd where I had worked as a content negotiator since 2004.
From August 2011 to December 2014, I was head of licensing at Jisc Collections with responsibility for leading the licensing team to deliver value for money agreements for UK members, including the negotiation of pricing and license terms for Jisc Collections and the Scottish Higher Education Digital Library (SHEDL), as well as providing consultancy for overseas consortia.
I was previously a member of the UKSG's main committee, and was education officer of the UKSG's education sub committee from April 2012 to April 2014.
